Application of Rock Anchor in Vertical Shaft at Left Bank of Xiluodu Hydropower Station
Xiluodu hydropower station is the third largest hydropower station in the world, second only to the Three Gorges Dam and Itaipu Binacional. It has a complex geological conditions, tight deadlines and high risk construction during shaft engineering. Proposal by the construction site, it takes ordinary mortar anchor, shed-pipe grouting and rock anchor(perno de anclaje
) as examples. By comparing test results, it can select more efficient and economical construction program. Ordinary mortar anchor places rock anchor after making the hole, which was easy to hole collapse. Shed-pipe grouting construction can use a casing and grouting effect can meet the needs of construction, but the construction progress is rather slow and expensive. Self-drilling rock anchor can drill, grout and anchor synchronously, which can meet the construction needs and have a faster construction.
Construction units will submit the test results. The angle of rock anchor is downward when construction, which can grout ahead, help the next cycle of construction, and meet the requirements of construction quality and safety while save construction period than pipe roof. Given this, the final decision is to use self-drilling rock anchor construction.
